Summary
Harry Pottertook over the hearts and minds of people around the world from 1997 till about 2008 when fans couldn’t wait for the next novel to come out, so they could find out what happens next in Harry’s story. The popularity of the books resulted in a series of movies that further grabbed the attention of fans.
While the movies definitely have their fans, there are still plenty of gaps in the story told in that iteration. Some fans have expressed frustration at how the movies shortchanged certain characters and glossed over particular story details that would have helped to add context to specific moments. With the announcement of a Harry Potter series being developed for Max, there is an opportunity for fans to get the version of Harry Potter they have always wanted, one that is more accurate to the books.

Characters can mirror their book personalities.
To be fair to theHarry Pottermovies, it is challenging to pack all of the content from a book into a two-hour film. One of the factors missing from the movies was the character development and unique personalities that the books emphasized. An entire season on Max would provide enough time for characters to display their full personalities on screen.
Harry Potterhimself was particularly passive-aggressive and sarcastic when speaking to people who would give him a hard time.

Particularly in his interactions with Dudelybut more frequently Snape. As he got older, his confidence in himself and his family rose, and he would not take any bad-mouthing about the people he cared about. His best friend, Ron Weasley, was vulgar, especially to Hermione. Although this was touched on in the movies, the instances were always small isolated moments that don’t explain where this attitude originated. Plenty of other characters do not get fleshed out, like Luna Lovegood or Fleur Delacour. The series could dedicate time to exploring character personalities, giving viewers a better understanding of who these people are.
Many essential story plots have a chance to be fully explained.
The Harry Potter books are long and packed withvital world and story-building information. While reading, fans get essential information explaining crucial aspects of the wizard kind and Harry’s threats as the chosen one. Books likeHarry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceandHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallowsreveal a ton of information that ties things together that readers had wondered about for years. The length ofliterature is necessary to explain tons of information.
Each book builds on the last one;through the series, fans get a glimpse of Voldemort’s powers and how evil he truly is. The number of episodes dedicated to each season can affect how much time lore has to be explained. Fans can still miss information if the seasons are longer, especially as the later books are transferred to the small screen. A minimum of about ten episodes will be required to cover each book. One essential plot point that ties into the entire story is the memories of Tom Riddle asking about Horcruxes. These memories are almost glazed over during the films, so their importance isn’t explained the way they are in the novels. Truly understanding this part of the story makes it easier to understand the climactic finish and how Voldemort is genuinely defeated.

The opportunity to make Voldemort look like his book version
Voldemort’s image in the series is talked about constantly. His descent intodark magic warped his previously handsome featuresinto someone unrecognizable. The films did their best in portraying his new visage. However, he needed to be more fearsome for die-hard fans. Fans want lore-accurate depictions of every aspect of their favorite series. Harry, Hermione, and Ron weren’t exactly book-accurate either, but the vision of Voldemort is a big part of his character and who he truly is. He loses aspects of his validity by taking away the scariest part of him.
Voldemort is described as having red eyes, cat-like slits for pupils, a skeletally thin body, pale skin and a chalk-white skull-like face, and delicate hands with unnaturally long fingers. His entire visage is a reflection of how muchhis life revolves around dark magic.Giving Voldemort the accuracy of the books will display his evil clearly for viewers.Dark magic is thought to warp the user, mentally and physically, and Voldemort is the most evil dark wizard that ever lived. An accurate depiction is necessary in letting fans know physically how evil he is.
