The Mandalorianis one of Disney Plus' most beloved series, and it is gearing up for its upcoming third season that is expected to be released sometime this year. Recently, fans got a look at some brand new never-before-seen concept art from the second season of the show.

The Mandaloriantakes place afterEpisdoe VI: Return of the Jediand beforeEpisode VII: The Force Awakens,so the show has a lot of room for storytelling because there’s a huge time difference between both films. This is also what makes the show well receieved, as there is plenty of room for things to happen that don’t interfere with the most recent storyline from the movies. As of now, alltheStar Warsshowsthat have been coming out have been avoided going too far into the future.

Fans ofTheMandalorianhave only built the hype up even more forthe upcoming third season ofThe Mandalorian. to help satisfy the eager fans,Brian Matyas, has posted never before seen concept art of the characters from season 2.Matyas works in the character design development department of Lucasfilm and has posted stuff on his Instagram account plenty of times before, so be sure to check it out because the page updates regularly.

Some of the conept art includes the darksaber blade and an unmasked Din Djarin, who is the protagonist ofThe Mandalorian. The second season brought back a lot of familiar faces, so hopefullyThe Mandalorianseason 3 does the same thing. Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker were all appeared in this hit show, and those are all some very big names inStar Warslore. Maybe the third will tease some names from the future movies or even an appearance by Cal Kestis.

Star Warsis getting bigger and better as it continues to elevate its storytelling to new heights by showing fans these stories they may have missed if they only watched the mainline films. TheStar Warslore benefits more from the storytelling format that comes from television than it does for movies because the world is far too vast. The amount of time spent with characters for a single season far outlasts that of a two-hour film.

The Book of Boba Fettis divisive, as it doesn’t really have an overwhelmingly positive or negative fan feedback. With that being said, here’s to hoping that Ahsoka andObi Wan Kenobi’s solo adventuresare much more favorable for viewers because Disney can run the risk of producing quantity over quality. Right now fans have theStar WarsCelebration event to look forward to this upcoming May.
