The Sims 4just recently releasedWerewolves, its twelfth game pack. Though the focus of the expansion is on the new werewolf life state introduced to the game,The Sims 4also added several clever references toFinal Fantasy 14in new item descriptions added in the pack.

SimGuruNova shared two separate items–the Racked Teak-a Greatshelves and the Seventh Confectioner’s Calamity Firewood Rack. The first is a reference to theShadowbringerszone, the Raktika Greatwood, and its item description has several clever callbacks to the critically-acclaimed expansion, including several lyrics directly from theShadowbringerstheme song. The second item references bothA Realm RebornandEndwalker, with the Seventh Umbral Calamity, references to a sundering, and a verbatim quote from Venat, one ofEndwalker’snew characters which stole the show.
The officialThe SimsTwitter got in on the fun as well. It commented on SimGuruNova’s post with an often-memed lyric from the Raktika Greatwood’satmospheric soundtrack inFinal Fantasy 14. The verifiedFinal Fantasy 14Twitter then responded to their post, causingFF14fans to beg for an official crossover between the two popular games.
Thousands ofFinal Fantasy 14andThe Sims 4fans interacted with SimGuruNova’s post, surprising her with the crossover between Simmers and Warriors of Light. Fans flocked to the comment section to reminisce aboutShadowbringers, ask SimGuruNova about herFinal Fantasy 14character, and celebrate the collision of two of their favorite games.

The popular mechanic first appeared in the series duringThe Sims 2: Pets, and again inThe Sims 3: Supernatural. PreviousThe Sims 4game packs and expansions have added the ability to play aliens, vampires, mermaids, mages, and robots in the game, so it was only a matter of time before werewolves made their triumphant return.
