The Witcher 3is without a doubt one of the most iconic video games that were released in the past decade. Of course, much of the attention the game continues to receive despite its release five years ago is the arrival of the Switch port that made the game available to a wider player base, andthe release of the Netflix adaptationthat introduced the franchise to those who haven’t touchedThe Witchernovels or video game series.
Now, fans ofThe Witcher 3would be happy to know that the statue that memorializes the famous Geralt in a bathtub scene from the game is currently discounted at Amazon. The retailer is offering the figurine for $59.29, which is $20 cheaper than its original price of $79.99. The statue was released by CD Projekt Red, in partnership with Dark Horse. The hand-painted Polyresin statue depicts a famous scene from the game, which has since become apopular internet memefeaturing protagonist Geralt soaking in a tub complete with a tiny rubber duckie. Although the $59 price tag may still be a bit pricey, the $20 discount will definitely make it more accessible to die-hardWitcherfans.

Interestingly enough, the Netflix adaptation ofThe WitcherstarringSupermanactor Henry Cavill loosely depicted this scene despite the series being based on the novels instead of the video games. Of course,the depiction of the iconic scene in the Netflix seriesis not at all surprising, given that showrunner Lauren Hirrish vaguely mentioned in an interview that the show would make a reference to the bathtub. At the time, Hissrish teased that, “There is a bathtub in this season. I won’t tell you who’s in the bathtub, but there is a bathtub.”
Of course, while the Netflix series did a good job in placing this popular reference in the show, fans of the game would know that the scene is not 100% accurate. In the game, Geralt had his feet up while in the tub, but the Netflix version of the scene did not do the same.In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Cavill explained, “I was trying to put my feet up, but I couldn’t. The bath was the wrong shape. But I thought that might have been a bit much as well.”
