There seems to be a lot offinger-pointing when it comes toThe Witcher, but whether it’s the producers/writers straying from the source material or Cavill’s scheduling issues, one thing is certain, the DC alum gave his all when it came to Geralt. In an interview withScreen Rant, director Marc Jobst praised Cavill for his endless training. “Henry does every single beat of his stunts, he won’t even allow a hand, if you’re doing a close up of a hand grabbing a sword, it has to be his hand.” Jobst continued, “You’re working with an incredible athlete, first and foremost, who works out hours before, and hours after, you’ve been shooting for 12 hours, and who cares deeply about the work that he does.” Jobst acknowledged that the role is physically demanding, a probable factor for Cavill’s exit.

The Sherlock Holmes actor is well known for his dedication to each character he plays. While fans are disappointed that Cavill’s Geralt won’t be seen again, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Luckily for fans, this won’t be the last time fans see Cavill. With multiple projects lined up, audiences will get a chance to see him in different roles. According to his Instagram, Cavill is particularlyexcited about theWarhammerseries, a fantasy video game adaptation he had a personal hand in developing. Another most anticipated project is Apple TV Plus’Argylle, a spy thriller starring Cavill, which is coming early next year.

Just because Cavill isn’t inThe Witcherdoesn’t necessarily mean the show will flop, and there are still a lot of questions from audiences.Netflix will have to figure out how everything will naturally tie together when season 4 approaches. All eyes are now on Hemsworth, hoping he does justice to everyone’s favorite White Wolf.
