While fans of the books will know that Vilgefortz is an antagonist to Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri,The Witcherseason 2 ending left him with a few avenues. Considering the show’s writers are more than willing to abandon the books' canon, Vilgefortz could have a different arc in the show. If this art is accurate to what’s been planned for the show, fans will see more of Vilgefortz’s bad side inThe Witcherseason 3 storyline.
That’s not all the merch reveals. A series of shirts and sweatshirts shows Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, and more in theirThe Witcherseason 3 outfits. A shirt featuring Geralt shows off his new armor, which can also be seen in Netflix’s official teaser trailer for season 3. While Geralt’s look may be familiar to fans who have kept with season 3’s promotion, the shirts featuring Yennefer and Ciri show the two in new, never-before-seen outfits. Jaskir is also featured on a shirt, but his look seems mostly unchanged. Another set of shirts and sweatshirts depict The Wild Hunt, a group who haven’t been the main focus of the show but should be familiar to fans of the gameThe Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.
The appearance of the Wild Hunt in merch forThe Witcherseason 3 could mean that they will be featured more prominently in the upcoming season. This is supported by the fact that the official teaser trailer includes a shot of Ciri fleeing from the Wild Hunt. Although it’s possible that the Wild Hunt could only play a small part in this season, their inclusion in merch and the teaser suggests that season 3 will take a page out ofThe Witcher 3: The Wild Huntbookand make the Wild Hunt a prominent foe.
