How to Start Raiders of the Lost Shark
To start Raider of the Lost Shark, players must travel to the Dumpstat Trench fast travel point in Wargtooth Shallows. Once the player arrives at Dumpstat Trench, they’ll need to open up their map and locate Joyful Roy, who’ll give them the quest.
Brief Quest Objectives:
Throughout the quest, players will need to fight several Breachers, Dogfishes, and Titantooths, all of which can burrow through the ground, making them difficult to defeat. TheClawbringer’s Cleansing Flamesis the perfect class for this area since it’s a powerful AOE action skill.
Locating the Shipwreck and Collect First Pearl
Joyful Roy tasks the player to find his lost pearls, the first of which can be found in a chest near what remains of the ship Carole Anne. Joyful Roy tells the player that he’ll have his crew help them out during the quest to find his missing pearls, but players should not rely too much on them as they hardly deal any damage.
Once the player obtains the first pearl, Joyful Roy asks them to locate three other pearls scattered around the area. Chumberlee then tells the player that those pearls are theirs and should be returned to them, but Joyful Roy interrupts and tells them the pearls are rightfully his.

Obtaining All Three Pearls
Players can find the first pearl on top of an elevated wooden platform in the middle of the area. But, it’s heavily guarded with Dogfishes, Embereaters, and Crashes, so players should allow Joyful Roy Matey’s to aggro them to make the fight easier. Moreover, players should useFire Elemental Damageas these shark-type enemies are weak to it.
The second and third pearls require the player to perform some parkour stunts on nearby platforms since they’re located on a higher part of the map.

Players should be extra careful while getting to them since enemies can knock them down, forcing them to start again. Once the player has the final pearl, they’ll need to return to Joyful Roy.
Choosing Joyful Roy or Chumberlee and Quest Completion
Now the player must choose whether they’ll give Joyful Roy or Chumberlee the pearls. If given to Joyful Roy, Chumberlee will break free and attack the player, and if the player gives the pearls to Chumberlee, they’ll need to fight Joyful Roy and his crewmates.
However, it seems Joyful Roy has a slightly better drop rate than Chumberlee, so if a player wants to make the most out of the quest, they should give the pearls to Chumberlee.

Upon completing the quest, the player will receive 268XP and $35,825, no matter who they chose.
