Ubisofthas at least eight major games on deck to release within the next year, including a newAssassin’s Creedgame. According to an earnings call from Tuesday, the publisher’s bid to turn around its misfortuntes involves dedicating even more resources to theAssassin’s Creedfranchise. During that earnings call,UbisoftCEO Yves Guillemot stated that the development teams working onAssassin’s Creedtitles will grow by 40%.
Although, it turns out that the French corporation is not putting all of its eggsinto theAssassin’s Creedbasket. In fact, the publisher allegedly plans to release a plethora of new titles into the market over the next 12 months, comprising a mixture of franchise sequels and brand-new IP.

According to a tweet from Stephen Totilo of Axios, Ubisoft plan to release a total of eight new major games over the next year. These eight titles will apparently beAssassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Rainbow 6 Mobile, and The Division Resurgence, Skull and Bones, The Crew: Motorfest, Xdefiant, and one more as of yet unannounced AAA game.
Granted, a few of those titles such asRainbow 6 Mobile, do not inspire an immense sense of fresh hope for the company’s status. However, things like a proper AAA video game adaption ofJames Cameron’sAvataruniverseand the title that is yet to be announced are fairly exciting prospects, and may be just what Ubisoft needs to pull itself out of this current slump.
Fans of titles such asThe DivisionandThe Crewwill also be pleasedto hear that new entries in those respective franchises could be launching within the next year. And if they are indeed due to drop within the next year, then there is also a good chance that trailers for these games may even be seen at the Ubisoft Forward event on June 12.
Out of all of the games within that list,Assassin’s Creed Miragecould potentially be released soonest, given that games in that franchise are usually released on a near-yearly basis. It has already been revealed thatMirageis intending on taking theAssassin’s Creedfranchise back to its roots, discarding the open world RPG elements the last few entries in the stealth/action series have become synonymous with.
