To celebrate the launch of its upcoming expansionDragonflight,World of Warcraftis creating custom stories to highlight players’ adventures throughout the world of Azeroth. The latestWorld of Warcraftcampaign gives player characters a legendary story to recount their experiences in previous expansions before heading to the Dragon Isles inDragonflight.Dragonflightis the ninth expansion pack forWorld of Warcraft, the popular MMORPG from Blizzard. Each past expansion brought a new world to explore, filled with quests, NPCs, dungeons, and raids.World of Warcraftwill soon celebrate its 18th anniversary, and players have had the opportunity to complete various adventures, creating their own stories as they progress through the game.RELATED:World of Warcraft: Alt Characters Get Double Reputation Gains in DragonflightAhead ofDragonflight’s launchon November 28,World of Warcraftis giving players a custom card highlighting key moments in their past adventures. Players who tweet their character name, realm, and region to the officialWorld of WarcraftTwitter account will receive a tailored picture showing their avatar with random information about their past feats.
The stories are randomly generated byWorld of Warcraft’s Twitter account for all characters over level 10, except those fromWorld of Warcraft Classic. Each time a Twitter user runs their character information, they can receive a different card highlighting different elements from their past adventures. Since players cancreate more than one character inWorld of Warcraft, they can submit up to 20 stories a day to get a custom card for all their characters.
Under the hashtag #WarcraftStories, players are sharing their custom cards retelling their adventures inWorld of Warcraft. Some stories highlighted the hardest dungeon completed by a character, how many times theydefeated aWorld of Warcraftraid boss, or their victories in PvP matches. Other cards bear funnier information, such as the number of times a character used a specific emote or how many times they fell to their death.
World of Warcraftis releasing these custom story cards to remind players of their prowess in the game ahead of the launch of its ninth expansion.World of Warcraft: Dragonflightintroduces updated talent trees; a new region to explore; dragon riding; a new playable race, the Dracthyr; and a new class, the Evoker. Dracthyr Evokers can join either the Alliance or the Horde, so all players will be able to try this new hero class and its unique starting zone, the Forbidden Reach. All Dracthyr Evokers will start their journey at level 58 and can specialize as DPS or healers at the end of the starting zone campaign.
World of Warcraft: Dragonflightlaunches on November 28 for PC.
