Recent data mining indicates thatWorld of Warcraft’s next update might be right around the corner. The leaked image includes references to some of the content Blizzard has planned forWorld of Warcraft’s upcoming patch, including a new specialization, scenario-based activity, and mega-dungeon.
Released in 2004,World of Warcraftis one of the best-known MMORPGs ever. Blizzard launchedWoW’sDragonflightexpansionin November 2022, introducing new locations, a new story, an increased level cap, and the new Dracthyr playable race. Data miners from the website Wowhead discovered a splash page forWorld of Warcraft’s upcoming Patch 10.1.5. The images on the page include Augmentation, Time Rifts, and the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon.World of Warcraftfans will be familiar with all of these if they’ve been paying attention to the update’s development. However, the existence of the splash screen signals that the new content may be on its way sooner rather than later.
Blizzard announced that 10.1.5 was scheduled for the summer, but the specific release date remains elusive. Unfortunately, the data mined splash screen did not include any indication of whenWorld of Warcraft’s next update launches. Nor does the leaked image have any of the text that will display over it in-game. However, it did feature a trio of images reflecting the new Augmentation specialization, Time Rift activity, and The Temporal Conflux, which serves as an entrance to the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon.
Augmentation isWorld of Warcraft’s third Evoker Specialization, turning the class into a hybrid that focuses on buffing and supporting allies while still dealing damage. This makes Augmentation a good compromise between Evoker’s Devastation and Preservation Specializations, which focus on damage and healing, respectively.
Meanwhile, Dawn of the Infinite is the game’s newest mega-dungeon, which will let players challenge the Infinite Dragonflight once more. The Temporal Conflux is located in Thaldraszus in the Dragon Isles, where the Bronze Dragonflight observes the Timeways and guard the entrance to Dawn of the Infinite. The new update also introduces eight new Time Rifts that players must close.
ManyWorld of Warcraftfans already knew this newDragonflightcontent was coming. However, the data mined splash screen could be a sign that the new update is getting close to release. Still, it’s likely that only Blizzard knows whenWorld of Warcraft’s highly anticipated Patch 10.1.5will release.
